Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara maritim dengan wilayah 70% lautan dan 30% daratan, sehingga transportasi lautyang menjadi salah satu transportasi utama bagi masyarakat. Dengan berkembangnya transportasi laut, sehingga diperlukannya sistem keamanan dan kenyamanan bagi pengguna. Automatic Identification System (AIS) adalah sistem navigasi yang menyediakan pertukaran informasi navigasi antara kapal dengan pangkalan darat terdekat, suar ataupun kapal lainnya. Software Defined Radio (SDR) adalah radio yang melakukan pemrosesan sinyal menggunakan teknik perangkat lunak. SDR ditandai dengan pemrosesan sinyal digital yang dilakukan dalam blok fungsional yang fleksibel. Pada penelitian ini akan dirancang perangkat transmitter dan receiver AIS sederhana dengan menggunakan SDR, yang diharapkan dapat mempelajari secara sistem cara kerja pengirim dan penerimaan pesan AIS. Untuk perangkat transmitter dan receiver digunakan perangkat React Testing Library (RTL) sebagai Rx, perangkat Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) sebagai Tx. Semua perangkat tersebut diperlukan driver terinstal khusus untuk bekerja dengan baik. Hasil yang diharapkan perangkat dapat berfungsi dengan baik dan mampu mentransmisikan pesan AIS pada frekuensi sebesar 162 MHz .
